Frequently asked questions

What is ServicePlan.one?

ServicePlan.one is a VIN-based vehicle service-history platform. Workshops record completed work, owners keep the history, and buyers can review it before purchasing a vehicle.

Which vehicles does ServicePlan.one support?

ServicePlan.one works with cars, motorcycles, and trucks. Any supported vehicle can have a VIN-based service history that stays with it across workshops and owners.

What makes a service record “confirmed”?

A confirmed record was entered by a verified workshop account. Records added by an owner are still useful, but are labelled unconfirmed so the distinction is always clear.

How do I find my vehicle?

Use the lookup on the home page or the Vehicle owners page. You can search with the vehicle’s VIN or the phone number associated with the owner account.

Can I add work completed somewhere else?

Yes. Owners can add a personal record from their dashboard. It will be shown as unconfirmed unless the work is later recorded by a verified workshop.

How can I share a vehicle’s history?

From the owner dashboard, create or regenerate a share link and QR code. You can send the link to a prospective buyer without giving them access to your owner account.

Do buyers need an account?

No. Buyers can open a share link directly. The demo shows one record for free and uses a stubbed payment flow for the remaining history.

Is the payment flow real?

No. This is a demo build and payment processing is stubbed. Do not enter real payment details.

How do workshops get started?

Workshops can register a workshop account, then sign in to log services against a VIN. The demo includes a sample workshop account for testing.
